Mo’ Diawara discovers the NBA

A few hours before NBA opening night, former Parisian Mohamed Diawara officially joins the New York Knicks.

It’s official! The 51st pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Mohamed Diawara has signed a guaranteed contract with Guerschon Yabusele and Pacôme Dadiet’s Knicks. The power forward thus becomes the second player from Paris Basketball to join the most prestigious league.

Born in Paris, Mohamed Diawara discovered basketball at Domrémy 13. After a stint at INSEP, he established himself as a key player in our Espoirs team. In addition to averaging 11.5 points and 6.2 rebounds in the U21 ÉLITE league, the center has played nearly 21 games with the professional team. His impressive stint in the capital culminated in his selection for the NBA Draft.

Well done, Mo’ !

Paris Basketball wishes you all the best in this adventure !
