Against Milan, Paris fights to the end

Despite a superb comeback in the second half, Paris Basketball lost this EuroLeague Round 8 match 86-77 to Olimpia Milan.

It was a close call. On Thursday evening, Paris Basketball arrived at the Mediolanum Forum for its last EuroLeague away game for quite some time. It was a major match against an ambitious Milanese team.

It was Olimpia Milan who took the lead early in the game. After a slow start, our Parisians picked up the pace and took the lead midway through the first quarter. But with fewer rebounds (11 vs. 9) and more turnovers (3 vs. 9), Paris ultimately let Milan pull away.

And this lack of accuracy (0/11 from 3-point range) in the second quarter proved fatal. Although our players won the second quarter, they were unable to make up for the 20-point deficit accumulated in the first quarter (47-27). It was a frustrating defeat given the superb performance of Nadir Hifi’s teammates, who scored 24 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
