Two former Parisian European champions

CONGRATULATIONS Maodo Lô and Leon Kratzer! Our two former players won the Euro on Sunday after Germany’s victory over Turkey (88-83).

What an incredible performance! Germany finished the tournament with a 100% win record, achieving the Euro-World Cup double. A tremendous run for a team that includes two French champions in its ranks.

In his very first international competition, Leon Kratzer leaves with the most beautiful of medals. Our former center played in five games during this Euro. He fully embraced his role as a defensive anchor in the paint every time he took the court.

And to feed him the ball near the hoop, the center could count on Maodo Lô. The former Parisian point guard, a luxury backup to MVP Dennis Schröder, played a decisive role in the final victory. His 7.9 points per game and 9.8 efficiency rating speak for themselves. Not to mention his XXL performance in the quarterfinal against Slovenia’s Luka Doncic.

Congratulations again to our two new European champions, whom Paris Basketball will face again this season in the EuroLeague (Maodo Lô – Zalgiris Kaunas / Leon Kratzer – Bayern Munich).
