Bako, the New Powerhouse of Paris Basketball

Paris Basketball is thrilled to announce the signing of Belgian center Ismaël Bako (2.08 m, 103 kg). A major addition for the exciting 2025–2026 season ahead — and a spectacular player to watch !

Joining from UNICS Kazan (VTB League), Ismaël Bako has established himself as a standout at his position. At 29 years old (born October 10, 1995), he brings with him a wealth of international experience :

9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game on average in the VTB League, with playoff peaks reaching 17.2 points.
Over 3 seasons in the EuroLeague, notably with ASVEL and Virtus Bologna, where he collected major honors: French Championship and French Cup titles with ASVEL (2021), and the Italian Supercup with Virtus (2022).

This signing is part of the club’s ongoing strategy to build a competitive roster capable of challenging on the European stage — following the recent arrivals of Amath M’Baye, Allan Dokossi, Joël Ayayi, Derek Willis, and Jérémy Morgan.
