Paris Basketball Foundation and Colosse aux pieds d’argile: A Partnership Against Violence in Sports
On Tuesday, June 4, 2025, during the final game of the season at the Adidas Arena, the Paris Basketball Foundation officially announced a strong and committed partnership with the association Colosse aux pieds d’argile.
After a symbolic jersey exchange, the partnership was formalized and followed by a halftime speech, during which members of the association presented their vital mission to the audience: preventing and combating sexual violence, harassment, and hazing in the world of sports.
An Ambitious Program: “Not in My Sport”
This partnership is part of the “Not in My Sport” program, set to launch in the 2025–2026 season. It marks a significant step in Paris Basketball’s commitment to making sports a safe, inclusive, and protective space for everyone.
From the first year of the “Not in My Sport” program, concrete actions will be implemented:
- Four-hour awareness workshops will be offered to youth academy players (U18, U21) and volunteers, along with a dedicated two-hour session for the women’s team players. The goal: to prevent sexual violence, harassment, and hazing, while encouraging open dialogue.
- A full-day training will be provided to the club’s staff and coaches to help them better identify, prevent, and respond to violence in sports settings.
A Strong Commitment
With this partnership, the Paris Basketball Foundation reaffirms its role as a committed actor in transforming the sports world. This alliance with Colosse aux pieds d’argile seals a shared ambition: to protect young people, train adults, and strongly promote a culture of vigilance, kindness, and responsibility.
By taking action today, we are building a safer sport for tomorrow !
