Finals: Paris Takes Game 1
After a perfectly executed performance, our Parisians claimed the first game of the finals against AS Monaco in a fired-up arena (94-82). A victory that brings the whole team together before aiming to take a decisive lead as early as Tuesday !
ON TO THE NEXT ONE !
In a magnificent game where our Parisians flexed their muscles to overpower the Monégasques, our players gained the upper hand in these finals. Right from the start, Tiago Splitter’s men were focused, aggressive, and initially relied on the many individual exploits of an electrified Nadir Hifi (10 points in the first quarter) to take control… before letting TJ Shorts (30 points) and his ever-reliable partner Tyson Ward (16 points) take over. In a wild second quarter, our American duo lit up the Adidas Arena, brilliantly supported by all their teammates who showed up and joined the party. The result was clear. Paris delivered a huge 27-15 run to their opponents, giving them a comfortable cushion at halftime (HT, 49-38).
And after the break, our players didn’t let up. Fired up, our Parisians kept up the pressure and always found ways to stop Monaco’s comeback attempts… and the main answer was Kevarrius Hayes. Our center went into full “wrecking mode,” dominating both ends of the court with his talent, helping to keep the Parisian ship steady—before handing the game over to TJ Shorts. Proof ? Of his 30 points that night, 13 came in the final quarter, sealing the deal once and for all. Thanks to this win, Paris Basketball now leads the finals 1-0 and is just two wins away from the first French championship title in its history !
