Paris Triumphs Over Limoges
After a thrilling game full of twists and turns, our Parisians secured an important victory on the court of CSP Limoges (71-78), putting pressure on ASVEL and Monaco.
Job’s done ! After 40 minutes of intense play, Paris Basketball gave themselves a scare but ultimately came out on top in their duel against CSP Limoges. In the first half, Paris controlled the tempo. With little pressure from their opponents, Tiago Splitter’s men played their game during the first quarter, despite some struggles from beyond the arc. The second quarter proved more difficult for our Parisians. Led by an in-form Alexandre Chassang (14 points, 5 rebounds), Limoges managed to close the gap, but our players remained mentally strong. At halftime, Nadir Hifi and his teammates were still in the lead (HT, 38-37).
Coming back from the locker room, Paris weathered the storm and capitalized on their efficiency at the free-throw line (20/24), as well as long-distance shots from our favorite Chilean, Sebastian Herrera, to stay close to CSP heading into the final 10 minutes. It was time for the big players to step up. As the saying goes, “with great power comes great responsibility.” That’s when TJ Shorts (19 points, 5 assists) rose to the occasion in crunch time, ably supported by his right-hand man, Nadir Hifi (13 points). Our captain’s explosive late-game burst dashed Limoges’ final hopes with a devastating three-pointer, securing a valuable win for Paris Basketball in the race for the top spot.
Thanks to this victory, the capital’s team strengthens their second-place position in the standings and turns up the heat on ASVEL and Monaco in the battle for first place.
Next up: we host Le Portel on Saturday, May 10th at the adidas arena ! We hope to see many of you there to cheer on our Parisians to victory. Don’t wait – grab your tickets now !
