Paris Overwhelms Le Portel

In a game they controlled from start to finish, our Parisians lived up to expectations with a commanding win over Le Portel at the adidas arena (109-65). A crucial victory to stay in the race for the top spot in the league.

A solid day at the office. In a packed adidas arena, Paris Basketball delivered a dominant performance against ESSM Le Portel. The game was one-sided from the very first second. Right from the tip-off, our Parisians came out strong with a stunning 13-0 run. By the end of the first quarter, the gap was already significant (10’, 29-10). But even with that comfortable lead, Paris kept up the intensity and completely smothered ESSM. Sharp from beyond the arc, our players left the northern team’s defense helpless. Maodo, Daulton, Nadir—all contributed to the fireworks show put on for the adidas arena crowd, and Bandja Sy put an exclamation mark on the first half with a massive dunk (Halftime, 51-32).

After the break, the City of Light kept its foot on the gas. Led by an outstanding Yakuba Ouattara—who set his personal scoring record in our colors—Tiago Splitter’s squad blew open the rival defense with a 35-14 run in the third quarter. Heading into the final 10 minutes, Paris held a 40-point lead. And to cap off the night in style, our team chased down the biggest margin of victory of the Betclic ELITE 2024/2025 season… and achieved it. With a 44-point win, the team set a new season record, surpassing their own previous mark (43-point win vs. Gravelines-Dunkerque).

This win is more than just symbolic, as it puts us at the top of the standings—pending the weekend games of ASVEL and Monaco.
