Paris Holds Strong Against Le Mans
In a game of two halves, Paris overcame Le Mans in an intense battle (106–103). A crucial victory that solidifies our spot on the Betclic ELITE podium and brings us closer to the playoffs !
Playoffs in sight! Thanks to their win against MSB in a packed adidas arena (106–103), Paris Basketball strengthens its place on the championship podium. In the first half, our Parisians—probably still a bit tired from their earlier match against Real Madrid this week—were caught off guard by an aggressive Le Mans side, led by an in-form Buchanan. But thanks to our collective sharp shooting from beyond the arc (49% from 3-point range) and a brilliant TJ Shorts (31 points, 9 assists), Tiago Splitter’s men managed to keep the Parisian ship afloat and even took the lead in the final seconds of the half (Halftime: 55–53).
The second half turned into an offensive showcase. Fueled by a playmaking TJ Shorts, Nadir Hifi (13 pts), Collin Malcolm (19 pts), and Mikael Jantunen (14 pts) had a field day tormenting Le Mans’ defense from deep, much to the delight of NFL Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels, who was in attendance. In the final 10 minutes, Paris rained down three-pointers on a helpless Le Mans side, who could only admire our shooting, despite a late comeback scare. A collective offensive masterpiece, capped by Mikael Jantunen surpassing 400 career points in Betclic ELITE!
A valuable win that gives us a confidence boost ahead of hosting Alba Berlin this Thursday for the final game of the EuroLeague regular season. Our Parisians are already guaranteed a spot in the play-in, but a direct qualification to the playoffs is still within reach!
