Paris Falls Against Real Madrid
In a game that remained undecided until the very end, our players were unable to resist Madrid’s comeback (104-105). However, this defeat does not dampen our ambitions in the EuroLeague.
For three quarters, Paris had control of the game, but they ultimately failed to maintain their lead and fell on Real Madrid’s court (104-105). In the first half, Tiago Splitter’s men were relentless. Led by a blazing TJ Shorts (24 points, 10 assists), our Parisians frustrated the Madrilenians with exceptional three-point shooting (60% from beyond the arc in the first half). However, they couldn’t widen the gap. Fueled by an electrifying atmosphere, Real Madrid managed to catch up just before halftime, putting both teams on equal footing (HT, 53-53).
In the second half, the pace picked up. Paris intensified its defensive pressure, forcing multiple turnovers. Still relying on their three-point shooting and exploiting gaps in the Spanish defense, our players built a lead and entered the final quarter with a six-point advantage (30’, 80-74). Unfortunately, as the last ten minutes began, things started to fall apart. Backed by their home crowd and a stellar Mario Hezonja (26 points), Real Madrid used their experience to deliver a devastating 21-6 run in the first five minutes. Sebastian Herrera attempted to reignite Paris’ momentum with a three-pointer, followed by Tyson Ward, but the late push wasn’t enough…
Paris ultimately fell to Real Madrid, but the dream is still alive—qualification for the play-ins has never been closer!
