Paris Defeated by Fenerbahçe

After a very tough game, we were defeated on Fenerbahçe’s court in Game 2 of the EuroLeague quarterfinals (89-72). Now, all eyes are on the French Cup final.

After an intense game, marked by Fenerbahçe’s incredible long-range shooting, Paris Basketball couldn’t find the answers, and Fener now leads the series 2-0. In the first half, Paris started strong. Led once again by a solid Tyson Ward (10 points, 3 rebounds) and an excellent TJ Shorts (18 points, 4 assists), Tiago Splitter’s men took an early lead. Unfortunately, the Turkish team was extremely accurate both from mid-range and beyond the arc (65% shooting). On our side, Nadir Hifi and the Parisians tried to respond, but we struggled from long distance. Paris trailed at halftime (HT: 61-38).

After the break, there was some improvement, but Fener remained sharp. Still very efficient and defensively strong, the home team shut down Paris’s offensive efforts, leaving us struggling to find solutions. Nadir Hifi and Mikael Jantunen still tried to bring Paris back into the game with some three-pointers, but the gap was already too wide. Paris Basketball fell short but is still alive in these playoffs.

Now, focus shifts to Le Mans and the French Cup final this Saturday at the Accor Arena, with a chance to win the third title in club history.

As for Game 3, Yakuba Ouattara and his teammates will face Fenerbahçe again on Tuesday, April 29, at the Adidas Arena, aiming to pull off the greatest comeback in the competition’s history. Our players will need your support — don’t wait, get your tickets now !
