Historic Qualification for Paris

After a thrilling and absolutely wild game, Paris Basketball triumphed on Real Madrid’s court and secured its ticket to the EuroLeague playoffs (73-81). It’s historic !

PLAYOFFS, HERE WE COME ! This play-in showdown was not for the faint-hearted. Facing Real Madrid, our Parisians bared their teeth and showed solidarity in this crucial battle to clinch the most important victory in their EuroLeague history (73-81)! A game that took our players through every possible emotion. In the first half, Paris played their game and took control. Led by a blazing TJ Shorts on offense, Tiago Splitter’s men stayed ahead without really being threatened by Madrid’s attacks. Focused, disciplined, and accurate, our players logically led at halftime (36-46).

But in the second half, Real Madrid came alive. Boosted by a red-hot Facundo Campazzo (17 pts), the Madrid side gradually closed the gap. For more than six minutes, Paris didn’t score a single basket. But when crunch time came, our Parisians found their rhythm again. It’s in these moments that great players step up, and tonight, Nadir Hifi and TJ Shorts rose to the occasion.

With less than three minutes to go, Nadir attempted a wild acrobatic shot—one of his signature moves—and silenced the entire Movistar Arena! He wasn’t named “Rising Star” for nothing… As for TJ Shorts, he turned into the perfect playmaker, finding Mikael Jantunen in the corner, who buried the final dagger from beyond the arc and officially sealed Paris Basketball’s spot in the EuroLeague playoffs !
