Paris on a mission in Athens
Defeated at the buzzer after a frustrating game against Fenerbahçe, Paris is now heading to face Panathinaikos with determination. The objective is simple: return from Athens with an important win in the race for the playoffs.
Nothing is impossible for Paris. After a frustrating loss in Turkey, our Parisians need to get back on track this Friday to face Panathinaikos, third in the Euroleague. This is a highly important game, but it will be tough given the strong Greek team’s current form. As evidence, Ergin Ataman’s men have won 9 out of their last 10 games in all competitions. Their only defeat was in the derby against Olympiakos, losing by just 2 points. But as we saw in the first game, nothing is impossible for our players.
Despite being weakened by numerous absences, the performance shown against Fener is a symbol of hope. With a strong momentum, having won 3 out of their last 4 games, TJ Shorts’ teammates are on a mission to secure a crucial victory in the race for the playoffs. This is especially important since Barcelona (7th) will face Milan (12th) away, and Real Madrid (8th) will host Red Star Belgrade (6th). Two direct matchups between our competitors that could play in our favor with a win in the Greek capital.
