Paris Basketball in the spotlight

This week, as every season at this time of year, the EuroCup asked the staffs of the entire competition about their mid-season votes. The results confirm the club’s historic campaign on the European stage.

 

Collective awards

 

Paris Basketball is seen by 80% of GMs as a finalist in the competition, tied with Gran Canaria, winner of the previous edition.

 

The Halle Carpentier residents were also named the most “fun” team to watch by 55% of respondents.

 

Still at the top, Nadir Hifi’s team-mates were considered the hardest team to play for, with 25% of votes, again tied with Gran Canaria.

TJ Shorts and Tuomas Iisalo in the spotlight

 

Best player in last season’s Basketball Champions League, TJ Shorts is still favourite for the MVP title, this time in the EuroCup, with 65% of votes. He is also considered the most spectacular player with 30% of the votes, and best passer with half of the voters convinced.

 

Bis repetita for Tuomas Iisalo? Elected for the BCL trophies the previous season as best coach, 3/4 of the way through the competition, he was named best coach with 40% of the votes.
