Paris are looking to build on their success at Le Mans

Published on October 4, 2026

Fresh from a magnificent victory over Kaunas, Paris Basketball face Le Mans this Sunday at the Antarès Arena on Matchday 2 of the Betclic ÉLITE. Tip-off is at 6.50 pm.

Still unbeaten on home soil, the 2026 LNB Super Cup winners got their European campaign off to a flying start on Thursday against Jonas Valančiūnas’s Zalgiris (82-78). This achievement complements the successful start made by Maxime Lefèvre’s side in the league. Having escaped the trap set by Nancy last Sunday, Paris Basketball round off their week with another tricky away fixture against Guillaume Vizade’s side.

A leading figure in this new wave of French coaches, the Auvergne-born manager has turned Le Mans into one of the most innovative teams in the country. Their style of play, similar to ours, regularly produces performances brimming with intensity. Despite losing its four top scorers from the previous season this summer, the 2026 French Cup finalists are embarking on a new cycle brimming with ambition. However, the youngest team in the Betclic ÉLITE has been in mixed form recently, particularly at European level.
