A mad October at the adidas arena

There’s some real heavy-hitting action in store for the adidas Arena this October! In its first month of competition this season, Paris Basketball will face a series of high-profile clashes in both the EuroLeague and the Betclic ÉLITE.

Our Parisian side got their October campaign off to a flying start against Zalgiris Kaunas (82-78) ! This is the first in a series of matches set to begin on Wednesday 7 October with the derby against Tony Parker’s ASVEL. On Europe’s grandest stage, the two giants of French basketball will face off in a frenzied arena.

This will be followed on Sunday by the kick-off of our league campaign against Matt Pokora’s Strasbourg. SIG still haven’t got over that defeat in the last play-off quarter-finals. It promises to be a hard-fought match, just like the one on Wednesday 14 October against Virtus Bologne. Having recently beaten Olympiacos – the reigning European champions – the Italians will be aiming to defeat Paris Basketball for the first time in their history. It’s a mission we fully intend to thwart in front of our home crowd!

This already very busy month will draw to a close on Sunday 18th with our new ‘clásico’ against Boulazac. The teammates of former NBA star Patrick Beverley have clearly not taken kindly to our chairman’s comments about them. Needless to say, the atmosphere will be electric! Finally, October will draw to a close with our first themed match of the year: the NFL Game on Friday 23 October against Valence, led by the legendary T.J. Shorts. The atmosphere of the biggest American shows will set the scene for a top-of-the-table clash against the reigning Spanish champions.
