Beyond the club, the creation of Paris Basketball is a project that embodies a culture: that of Parisian basketball.
A culture that has been built on the fringes of the professional championship and official circuits.
On the playgrounds from Pigalle to Bir Hakeim, in the gyms of Paris to Cergy, in the amateur clubs of Greater Paris and during the summer tournaments at Carpentier or Trocadero, this culture has made Paris one of the basketball capitals of the world.
In its first three seasons from 2018 to 2021, Paris Basketball played in the PRO B championship (second men’s professional division). In 2021, after a run of 10 wins out of 11, the club finished second in the championship and earned its ticket to join the Elite of French basketball, where it has been playing ever since.
With its young squad, Paris Basketball aims to become one of the best clubs in France and Europe in the medium term.
Following its promotion to Betclic ELITE at the end of the 20-21 season, the club has also been competing on the European stage in the 7DAYS EuroCup since the 22-23 season. The team is coached by Tuomas IISALO for the 2023/2024 season. He succeeds Will WEAVER, who took the club to the EuroCup quarter-finals in the 2022/2023 season.
The club’s ambition is to offer a spectacle on and off the pitch, with themed matches celebrating Parisian communities: Africa Game, Chinese New Year, Green Game.
The club is in its third season in the Elite, with an ultra-competitive squad of talented youngsters led by Finnish coach Tuomas Iisalo.
