The derby is fast approaching… Next Wednesday, Paris Basketball will host Tony Parker’s ASVEL. A French classic set against the backdrop of a buzzing adidas arena on Europe’s biggest stage !

Last season showed us once again that when Paris take on Villeurbanne, the matches immediately take on a whole new dimension. It’s a clash like no other, both on the court and in the stands. Whether in the Betclic ÉLITE or the EuroLeague, there are few occasions when the adidas arena is as buzzing as when ASVEL turns up in the capital. Especially as this year, this derby of continental significance has taken on a whole new dimension.

Today, it’s impossible to do any better on the French basketball scene. As the only French teams competing in the EuroLeague, both Paris and ASVEL are keen to establish themselves as THE powerhouse of the league. On the one hand, Tony Parker’s Villeurbanne side have chosen to rely on NBA veterans recognised across the Atlantic, such as Patty Mills and Jae Crowder. On the other, the Parisians rely on relentless intensity, complemented by a significant dose of talent in the form of Nadir Hifi and TJ Warren.
