The Paris Basketball Foundation is getting involved in Pink October

Throughout this Pink October, the Paris Basketball Foundation is getting involved in the annual breast cancer awareness campaign.

Paris Basketball sees life through rose-tinted glasses this October ! As sport is also a powerful vehicle for raising awareness, sharing knowledge and fostering solidarity, the club and its Foundation will be organising a number of initiatives during this very special month. The aim is to highlight the issues surrounding both the prevention and screening of breast cancer, whilst raising the profile of those who work day in, day out to support those affected.

As part of the Hero of the Game programme, the Paris Basketball Foundation will be shining a spotlight on charities committed to this cause. In front of thousands of spectators at the adidas arena, these organisations will have the opportunity to present their work and initiatives and, above all, to highlight the importance of prevention and screening.

The colour pink will also be an integral part of our home matches. Activities and awareness-raising sessions on this theme will be on offer. Players, teams, volunteers, partners and supporters… The entire Paris Basketball family is rallying together to spread this message and raise the profile of Pink October, as demonstrated by this group run organised for students.

Through this initiative, the Foundation aims both to prevent ill health and to support those working on the ground. We want to remind everyone of the importance of looking after their health.
