Tyson Etienne : “ We’ve shown great promise ”

In their first home game of the season on Tuesday evening, Paris Basketball lost to Partizan Belgrade (79-92). It was a second EuroLeague matchday that proved a valuable learning experience for Tyson Etienne.

Despite getting off to an impressive 10-0 start, our Parisian side gradually saw the Serbs close the gap on the scoreboard. This failure to secure a win in the electric atmosphere of the adidas Arena is just the start of a bigger process, according to our playmaker : “ Of course, every defeat hurts, especially given all the hard work we’ve put in. It’s early in the season, so we’ll keep improving. I’m sure that, in time, we’ll find our rhythm. It’s simply a matter of sticking together and continuing to work hard. ”

According to Tyson, there are also some positives to take away : “ I think we’ve shown real promise on several occasions. A lot of the things we’ve been working on have come to fruition on the pitch. Now, the next step is to reproduce that consistently. And that will come with hard work; it will come by continuing to play this sort of tough match. We’re going to improve and we’re going to excel. ”

What stands out most for Tyson is the incredible atmosphere at his debut at the adidas arena : “ I love the atmosphere! The ambience, the fans… Everything was incredible. Paris, keep supporting us. Stay fired up. It’s going to be an exceptional and incredible season. Every process has its ups and downs, but we’ll learn from them and improve. Thank you very much. ”
