Paris Basketball launches the Grand Paris Basketball Summer Tour
A series of 3×3 tournaments for 15–18-year-olds organised in Île-de-France by Paris Basketball, culminating in a grand final on 12 September 2026 at the adidas arena.
Paris Basketball – a professional club competing in the Betclic ÉLITE and the Euroleague – has announced the launch of the Grand Paris Basketball Summer Tour, a unique summer programme combining sport, urban culture and community engagement.
Open free of charge to all 15- to 18-year-olds in the Île-de-France region, this travelling 3×3 tournament will culminate in a grand final on Saturday 12 September 2026 at the adidas arena.
From the playgrounds of Greater Paris to the adidas arena
The Greater Paris Basketball Summer Tour takes place in two phases. During August, several qualifying rounds will be held across four towns in four departments of Île-de-France: La Courneuve (31 July – 1 August), Roissy-en-Brie (7–8 August), Le Parc du Grand Godet (21–22 August) and Versailles (29–30 August). Each stage will host a women’s and a men’s 3×3 tournament, with teams comprising 3 to 4 players. Registration for the events is free and can only be done via https://club.parisbasketball.com/summertour?override=true
The winning teams from each qualifying round will then meet for the grand final on 12 September 2026, organised at the adidas arena in partnership with the Île-de-France Region, in the Alice Coachman annexe sports hall. The day will feature cultural activities, a DJ, a showcase, the Summer Tour finals and a shoot-around with the Paris Basketball professional team. An unmissable event that will mark the launch of Paris Basketball’s 2026–2027 season.
An event rooted in local communities
Each stage of the Grand Paris Basketball Summer Tour takes place at local sports facilities over two days: an initial day of introductory sessions and activities open to everyone, followed by a day of 3×3 competitions. Local clubs, leisure centres and associations are involved in ensuring that each stage is an intergenerational gathering, accessible to the general public.
Beyond these summer activities, Paris Basketball’s ambition is to establish a lasting presence within the sporting landscape of the Île-de-France region and to create an annual event that brings together young people across the Greater Paris area.
Paris Basketball, the Greater Paris club
Founded in 2018, Paris Basketball has enjoyed a meteoric rise: promotion to the top flight in 2021, victory in the EuroCup in 2024, a place in the EuroLeague quarter-finals, and victory in both the French Cup and the National Championship in 2025. The club is built on four founding pillars: community roots, urban culture, entertainment and social commitment.
The club is already supported by the City of Paris, the departments of Seine-Saint-Denis, Seine-et-Marne and Val-d’Oise, as well as the Île-de-France Region.
The Grand Paris Basketball Summer Tour is fully in line with this vision: to make Paris Basketball a key player in the region, serving young people and the local authorities of Île-de-France, well beyond the sporting calendar.
