Terry Tarpey, a track record of success
Terry Tarpey (aged 32 – 1.96m), who was runner-up in the 2022 European Championships with France, has joined Paris Basketball from Monaco. His combination of experience and leadership will strengthen our squad.
Paris Basketball is kicking off its summer campaign in style! With 34 caps for the French national team to his name, Terry Tarpey is a key figure in the Betclic ÉLITE. Yet it was on the other side of the Atlantic that he made his debut in the world of basketball. After four years in the NCAA with the William & Mary Tribe, during which he won several Defensive Player of the Year awards, the Poissy (Île-de-France) native signed his first professional contract with Denain. Soon outgrowing the French second division, the forward moved to Le Mans, where he clinched the title in his very first season in the top flight of French basketball.
His consistent form in the league opened the doors to the French national team. A surprise inclusion in Vincent Collet’s squad for Euro 2022, Terry Tarpey was in a class of his own for just under a month. Playing a supporting role, he provided a decisive burst of energy in the knockout stages against Turkey and Italy. A key figure in this run, Terry caught the eye of the Roca Team, who signed him in the summer of 2024. There, he reached the EuroLeague final whilst winning a further two Betclic ÉLITE titles.
Elite defence, athleticism, stamina, shooting… Paris Basketball is delighted to be able to count on a player with such a profile ahead of the 2026–2027 season !
Welcome home, Terry !
