Hero of the Game : A tournament promoting diversity
The curtain has come down on the 2025–2026 Heroes of the Game! This wonderful initiative drew to a close in the finest possible way on Tuesday evening with the CAN des Quartiers Féminine final taking place on our home court.
In many neighbourhoods, women’s football continues to grow without always receiving the recognition, resources or exposure afforded to other sports.
Born out of this observation and a desire to give players the visibility they deserve, our featured association brings together women from different clubs for a competition inspired by the Africa Cup of Nations.

Beyond the final result, this competition celebrates the richness of amateur sport – the players’ journeys, their identities and their diversity. It is a space where players come together, represent their backgrounds, form new teams and foster a collective spirit whose impact extends far beyond the competition itself.
Their presence at this final Hero of the Game perfectly encapsulates the values that the Paris Basketball Foundation has championed throughout the season.
Hero of the Game is over for this season… But our fight for a more inclusive, representative and accessible sport continues !
