Our women’s team is in the final !

We’re in the final! Trailing at halftime, the Paris Basketball women’s team completely turned the tide of this NF2 Final Four semi-final against Trégueux-Langueux Basket Armor this Saturday evening (76-57).

Paris Basketball is now one step away from the French National 2 championship title! For their semi-final, our women faced the best record of the regular season across all divisions. Despite a tough match on paper, it immediately went against us. Trégueux-Langueux indeed dominated the first half, largely thanks to their excellent first quarter. Far from being fazed despite a reduced roster, our team refused to let them pull away. We were never more than two possessions ahead of the Breton team. Even better, our Parisians won the second quarter and thus closed the gap to just one point on the scoreboard (34-35).

But Paris didn’t finish the season with the best defense for nothing! When our players decided to shut down, the opposing offenses proved powerless. Once the intensity was cranked up to the max, no one could stop them. Not even Trégueux-Langueux! The second quarter was a one-sided affair. Offensively, our opponents ran into a brick wall. And defensively, they were hit hard by Aminata Dosso’s 24 points and Paloma Wouts’ hot streak from beyond the arc. As the minutes ticked by, the gap widened, this time in our favor. +5, +10, +15… Nope! At the final buzzer, 19 points separated us from the Bretons (76-57).

With this victory, our Women’s team secured their ticket to the grand final. This match will take place this Sunday at 3:30 PM against Étoile Sportive Gimontoise BB, who earlier defeated Carqueiranne Var Basket (76-57). Your support will be essential!
