Fournier is back in town !
As Olympiacos visits us on Wednesday, February 5 (8:30 PM), this matchup marks the return of an Olympic silver medalist to the capital. A true product of the Paris region, who will be wearing the opposing jersey this time.
After making all French fans cheerful during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Evan Fournier is returning to the capital under the Olympiacos jersey! Having grown up and started playing basketball in Charenton, the Olympic vice-champion is a pure Parisian product.
After making his debut in Eastern Paris, he joined the Pôle France training program at INSEP for two years. Eager to compete at the professional level, he then moved to Nanterre 92 for the 2009-2010 season. After making a name for himself, he took off for the NBA in the summer of 2012, where he spent over 10 years before returning to Europe this summer. After once again inspiring the French fans this summer by winning a silver medal at the Olympics, he is now back in the capital with the Greek team.
On the court, however, there will be no room for sentiment, and every possession will be fought for until the very end in this EuroLeague Round 25 showdown. In a sold-out Adidas Arena, Evan Fournier’s return is sure to make some noise!
