A historic feat against Pana

In this clash of European champions, Paris defeated the reigning champions 84-80 to claim their first EuroLeague win in a game that was controlled from start to finish!

In an electric atmosphere at the Accor Arena (11,764 fans), our players got off to a good start. Undaunted by the intensity of the early stages, Tiago Splitter’s men stayed in touch. Thanks to Nadir Hifi’s 9 points in the first quarter, we’re in the lead after the first 10 minutes (21-19).

The second quarter got off to a perfect start for the Parisians, who continued to set the pace. They disrupted Pana’s defense, which also had to deal with Collin Malcolm’s skill behind the arc. Tyson Ward then crushed the rim on a counter-attack and our players took the lead into the locker room (45-39).

Kevarrius Hayes gets us back on track. Continuing with stifling defense and big offensive rebounds, the men from the capital manage to maintain their advantage. Nadir continues his festival and scores a huge three-pointer in the corner in the final seconds to extend our lead (69-59).

As the game drew to a close, the intensity rose again, as did the atmosphere. Grabbing as many offensive rebounds as ever, our Parisians regain a 10-point lead with three minutes to go. To round off the evening, the whole team applied themselves to shooting and sealed this historic first Euroleague victory (84-80)!

Nadir finished top scorer with 20 points, closely followed by T.J.’s 16 and Collin’s 14.
