Paris falls in Game 3
Paris Basketball was defeated last night by Monaco in Game 3 of the Betclic Élite playoffs finals. (59-88)
After winning Game 2 in Monaco, the Parisians faced a revenge-driven team with an ironclad defense and exceptional shooting accuracy: 62% from three-point range and 70% from two-point range.
The Monegasques also won the rebounding battle, grabbing 14 more rebounds than Tuomas Iisalo’s men.
The last time TJ Shorts II and his teammates scored so few points was against… Monaco in December 2023, with only 62 points that night.
Monaco switched to Euroleague mode, and Paris struggled to play their usual game with effective transitions and strong defense.
As they did this week in Game 2 in Monaco, the Parisians will aim for a win on Wednesday at the arena to force a decisive Game 5.
Nadir Hifi’s reaction: “We lacked a lot of things. We let them play their game, they have a lot of talent, we weren’t good tonight, but we’ll bounce back on Wednesday as we have before. We weren’t tired, but I think it’s a combination of factors. They defended well and I don’t think it was our day today, we missed easy shots, things we usually make, but that’s part of the game. They were better than us, kudos to them. We’ll come back hungrier and be ready on Wednesday.”
Game 4 is on Wednesday at the adidas arena, and the players will need your support to force Game 5 ! The remaining tickets are available here: https://tinyurl.com/26z6x37r
