In front of over 5,000 fans at the adidas arena on Tuesday, Paris Basketball defeated Cholet in the Do or Die Game to qualify for the semi-finals of the French championship!
A sigh of relief! We’re in the semi-finals…. And we won’t be going on vacation just yet, much to our delight !

Our players, following in the footsteps of match 2, were able to impose their rhythm and identity of play against a Cholet team who didn’t deserve any credit at all, but who were too wasteful with their shots this evening, particularly on 3-pointers with only 31% success rate.
And yet, Cholet had started the game well. A 14-7 lead and a cold sweat for the Parisians, who started as they had in game 1. However, this high point didn’t last long, thanks in particular to a man who hasn’t been shooting so well recently: Nadir Hifi, who scored 22 points on Tuesday.
Iron defense
Defensively speaking, Paris managed to hold Cholet to less than 65 points, proving that after the hiccup of Game 1, the combo of good defense and quality transition is still working. The team-mates of TJ Shorts (11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists) managed to limit Tidjane Salaun and Victor Hruban (15 points between them) after they had hurt us so badly in Game 1.
On to Asvel!
Our Parisians will be back on the floor… this Thursday against ASVEL! Winners over Saint-Quentin, the Lyonnais will be keen to make amends for the two defeats they’ve suffered against us this season, in a bid to reach the Betclic Élite final!
