We’re up against a team we’ve beaten twice this season, and who will be visiting the adidas arena for the first time this season. In the first game at Carpentier, it was more of a surprise for fans to see a Paris Basketball success. 92-86, with a crazy second quarter and quality performances from TJ Shorts, in double-double with 19 points and 10 assists, Tyson Ward in 20-7 and Nadir Hifi, 16 points. A game that showed, already in December, that the team had the resources to be reckoned with in the season’s upcoming fixtures.
For the second match, we were on to something more rational. Second in the standings, it was an opportunity to take a little lead to hold on to that spot and gain home advantage in the playoffs. And the game went the Parisians’ way: +20 at the end of the game, a top-quality fourth quarter at the Astroballe and confirmation that Paris Basketball is not here to make up the numbers.

Having beaten Saint-Quentin in the first round of the playoffs in two games, ASVEL arrives fresher for the first game of the semi-finals. But we’ve already proved that Paris is not impossible!
