Paris kicks off 2024 with a bang

After a 15-day break, the Parisians were back on the pitch on Wednesday evening, when they played host to Prometey in the Eurocup at the Halle Carpentier. The result? A 93-72 victory. What better way to start 2024…

Against the best offensive rebounding team in the competition, there was nothing to play for. It took just over a quarter to gradually overcome the visitors, before going in with a 10-point lead at the break (49-39) and a big first half from Collin Malcolm with 13 points.

After the break, Bandja Sy’s team-mates came back in warrior mode with an 8-0 run, which allowed them to escape for good. What happened next? Tuomas Iisalo’s players stayed above the 12-point mark throughout the second half, finishing the game at +21.

TJ Shorts confirms his MVP status

Voted this week by all the competition’s team GMs as the favorite for the MVP trophy (65% of votes), TJ once again produced a performance worthy of this caliber: 18 points, 3 rebounds, 10 assists and 2 steals, the pocket point guard is – indisputably – the player of the match! With this first victory of the calendar year, Paris Basketball consolidates its position as group leader in the EuroCup.
