Paris in control in Ljubljana
Paris Basketball beat Cedevita Ljubljana 93-77 on Wednesday, the 9th and final day of the Eurocup first leg.
Late start
With 27 free throws conceded in 20 minutes, Nadir Hifi’s teammates endured a tricky first half without losing their lead at the break (48-44). In the first half, TJ Shorts shone with 9 points, 6 assists and 1 steal.
An adjustment in the second half
After that, the Parisians came back much more conquering with a string of counter-attacks, including a particularly spectacular one from TJ. This defensive solidity enabled the players from the capital to gradually gain ground, until they finally took the lead on two long-range shots from archer Gauthier Denis. In the end, the win was safe (93-77).
And your MVP is… TJ Shorts
17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 1 assist! The pocket point guard was everywhere in this long-distance duel with the Slovenian outsides. A new European performance that allows our all-star player to establish himself as one of the Eurocup’s benchmarks.
What’s next for our Parisians? A trip to the Principality to take on leaders Monaco in the 14th round clash, this Sunday at 7pm.
